IT Pro Tuesday #92
Get this in your inbox each week.
Hello IT Pro,
With the recent news of the Broadcom Symantec acquisition, we've received a lot of calls from Symantec customers and partners looking for a new service. So we thought we'd mention here, that if you're considering a switch from Symantec Cloud / MessageLabs, we built an exclusive offer.
Move from Symantec Cloud to Hornetsecurity now, and save 20% compared to your current service.
Switch from Symantec. We cover the cost of finalizing your old contract, plus any fees for changing providers. You'll then be protected by the Cloud Security Pioneer trusted to defend the email infrastructure of over 40,000 businesses worldwide. Best of all, you get more features and better security for 20% less than you currently pay for your Symantec Cloud contract. Get all the details here, including a handy feature comparison.
But on with this week's tools...! Here are the most-interesting items that have come across our desks, laptops, and phones this week. As always, EveryCloud has no known affiliation with any of these unless we explicitly state otherwise.
And as always, we’re updating the full list on our website here. Enjoy.
NEW! Popular Repost: Cheat Sheets (Each week we'll now be including a popular post from a previous edition.)
PacketLife Cheat Sheets is a miscellaneous collection of helpful cheat sheets. Another fantastic resource pointed out by heroz0r, who specifically appreciates the featured cheat sheets for Wireshark, IPv4 subnetting and network protocols like BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, etc.
A Blog
Powershell Explained is the blog of Kevin Marquette, who kindly shares his discoveries as he learns about PowerShell. A Book

Lambert, efficiently covers key topics in CS1 and CS2. Provides a foundation on introductory programming and data structures in Python.
P.S. Bonus Free Tools
WizFile is an incredibly fast file search tool. Finds files by name on your hard drive almost instantly and is ready for use very quickly after start up. Searches by file name or full path name, with support for multiple search terms, wild cards and user-defined filters. ComputerNetworkGeek tells us, "It's sometimes faster than Everything."
A keyboard shortcut offered by fullstacktoast:
Ctrl+Shift+Enter when searching in the Windows 10 start menu. “Super useful for stuff like command prompt. I'm fully in the habit of searching for cmd, Ctrl+Shift+Entering, and just hitting alt+y to accept the UAC prompt now."
Have a fantastic week and as usual, let me know any comments.
