Hello IT Pro,

Welcome back to IT Pro Tuesday!

As always, we’re updating the full list on our website here. Enjoy.

But on with this week's tools...! Here are the most-interesting items that have come across our desks, laptops and phones this week. EveryCloud has no known affiliation with any of these unless we explicitly state otherwise.

Popular Repost: Tool

GlassWire is a network monitor & security tool with a built-in firewall. Visualizes all your network activity on an easy-to-use graph that shows what applications and hosts are accessing the network from your computer. The software automatically resolves host names, so it's easy to see who or what your computer is communicating with over the Internet. Uses Windows built-in firewall, so no there's no need for third-party drivers. Thanks for this one go to hackeristi, who says, "It is a pretty nifty little tool that is on the network monitoring side of things."

A Free Tool

Brave is a browser that offers exceptional speed, security and privacy. It blocks harmful ads and trackers, which makes it noticeably faster on many websites. OhkokuKishi likes it as a "secondary browser with a Tor client where I can remotely detonate suspicious links."

A Tip

Some favorites from SoMundayn:

qwinsta /server:$computer is "my go to for checking any user logged on anything Windows. And rwinsta for killing the session. Although ‘Restart-Computer $Computer -Force’ is easier to kill sessions for my current task.”

Another Free Tool

EaseUS Partition Master Free can resize, move, merge, migrate and copy disks or partitions; convert to local, change label, defragment, check and explore partition; and more. Supports disks up to 8 TB. finglongerU recommends it as an option for "basic disk resizing."

Another Tip

dghughes shares a shortcut that fixes/sets the application windows to a specific monitor in a multi-monitor system:

Put the application where you want it, then press Win key + shift + Enter

No feedback is given, but you can test by seeing if the app opens in the monitor you selected. Works on Windows 10, maybe others.

"I'd often get tickets for people who complained the application opened in monitor 1 when they want it to open in monitor 2 or monitor 3. Not all applications obey."

P.S. Bonus Free Tools

Canva Mind Maps is a dirt-simple tool for making mindmaps that can help you capture ideas and organize information in a non-linear way. Offers an extensive collection of templates you can customize to meet your needs.

Screenpresso is a screen grab tool with built-in image editor, user guide generator and sharing options. It captures screenshots—including scrolling sections—and produces lightweight MP4 video files for easy sharing. Includes a built-in image editor and ability to publish/share your captures, generate PDFs, Microsoft Word (DOCX) or HTML documents based on images and comments. ChiSox1906 likes that "it'll auto pick windows for you, and also let you control the selection down to the pixel with the arrow keys."

Have a fantastic week and as usual, let me know any comments.
